Nothing here is sold as a set
Furniture and objects chosen one at a time, for rooms that already have things in them.
Three ways people use the shop
Most of it is one piece at a time.
One piece at a time
The commonest visit: a chair for a corner that has been empty for a year. Staff are not on commission, so the honest answer — including "not from us" — is the one you get.
Shop everything →A room, over months
We keep a note of what you already own so nothing arrives fighting it, and will tell you when to wait for something rather than settle.
By room →Making up a set that is not one
A cane table that goes with a teak chair from somewhere else. Bring a photograph of the room — that is genuinely more useful than a measurement.

Stoneware Vase
Thrown, not slip-cast. No two the same height.
Wool Throw
Undyed Himalayan wool, woven on a pit loom.
Cane Side Table
Bent cane, glass top, light enough to move with one hand.
How we buy
Three rules that decide what gets on the floor.
It has to be repairable
Joined rather than glued, webbed rather than foam-bonded, wired rather than sealed. If a piece cannot be taken apart by somebody competent in twenty years, it does not come in.
We can name the workshop
If we know who made it, the name is on the label. Where we genuinely do not — some imported objects — the label says that instead of inventing a provenance.
It works beside things we did not sell
Every photograph on this site has something in it we did not supply. A piece that only looks right surrounded by its own range is a piece that will look wrong in your house.
Light before seating
Almost everyone buys the sofa first and then spends two years wondering why the room feels wrong in the evening. A single warm lamp at eye level changes a living room more than any piece of furniture in it, and costs a fifteenth of the sofa. Buy the light, live with it a month, then buy the chair.
The floor, then the bed
A rug under a bed does more for how a bedroom feels underfoot in January than anything you put on top of it. Buy it larger than looks right on paper — it should run at least sixty centimetres past the bed on the sides you get out of.
Chairs you can sit in for three hours
Dining chairs are the one thing worth trying in person, because the difference between a chair you leave after forty minutes and one you stay in is a centimetre of seat depth. Bring the table measurement; we will tell you if the chairs you like will actually tuck under it.
From customers
They told me not to buy the rug on my first visit because the chair I was considering would have fought it. I came back three months later and bought both. Nobody working on commission says that.
I brought the table measurement as instructed and they told me the chairs I wanted would not tuck under it. They sold me cheaper ones that did.
Returned something on day twenty-six, opened and used, and it was refunded without a single question. The thirty-day thing on the banner is apparently real.
Bring a photograph of the room
More useful than a measurement, and far more useful than a mood board. Open seven days on Cunningham Road; delivery inside Bengaluru is included in every price on this page.
